Process: GMAW

Gas metal arc welding (GMAW) applications include metal inert gas (MIG) welders and metal active gas (MAG) welders. GMAW welders produce an intense electric arc that forms between the welding wire electrode and workpiece metal, which heats the metal and joins the material. There are a variety of metal transfer methods used in GMAW applications including short-circuiting, globular transfer, spray, and pulsed-spray.
